About Kathy Innes

My name is Kathy and I founded Sidcup Sports Massage in January 2012.  I'm a qualified Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist,  Assistant Tutor and a Pilates Instructor. I qualified in January 2012 with the prestigious London branch of the UK's leading Sports Massage School,  NLSSM (www.nlssm.com), obtaining a BTEC Level 5.

As a result of the high level of training I received in my field it provides me with the skills to deliver treatment plans that are specific to you, ensuring you recieve the right massage techniques to help you achieve the reasons why you initially booked in for treatment.

After one year of qualifying as a therapist, I was invited back to NLSSM as an assistant tutor, I now help to teach trainee deep tissue massage therapists on their journey to become qualified.

I have trained in additional modalities, such as Medical Acupuncture, Kinesio Taping, Myofascial Release, ScarWork and Hot Stone Massage, these techniques compliment my massage skills and help dealing with acute, sub-acute and chronic stages of injury.  The training I received from the renowned Pilates Institute in 2008 enables me to provide my customers with an exercise rehabilitaion plan which will aid in quicker recovery.

I am committed to my customer needs, and my objectives are to ensure you receive the highest quality of treatment by using my advance massage skills to reduce pain, alleviate stress or to combat postural or long standing conditions, and to ensure you return to optimum health in the shortest possible time, and to prevent reoccurence of injury.

Lucy is a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist, who studied and obtained her advanced Level 5 BTEC qualification at the presitgious UK's leading Sports Massage School, NLSSM in February 2018.  Her treatments focus on using a variety of techniques to help alleviate pain and discomfort, relax and restore clients' wellbeing as well as helping to combat postural imbalances and manage chronic conditions and injuries relating to sport, work or day to day life.

As a lifelong recreational runner, former gymnast and a busy working mum, she is passionate about the human body and using it to its full potential and hence providing the correct care and treatment to her clients for their specific lifestyle, activities and individual needs.

Lucy is extremely passionate about women's care before and after birth, whilst pregnant she learned about the challenges and impact put on the body during this time and noticed how difficult it was to find a high quality and reputable pregnancy massage therapist. Hence her decision to acheive her Pregnancy and Post Natal Therapy qualification.  She has also trained in Medical Acupuncture and Kinesio taping and finds this compliments her massage skills really well throughout the various stages of her client's injuries.
